- Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's Report is posted on the website. It is accepted as written.
- Membership: We currently have 116 members.
-Correspondence: The Niagara County Genealogical Society has announced an upcoming presentation on the future of genealogy. Interested BIGS members can contact Donna Shine for further information.

OLD BUSINESS:
Library: Jim Boyle from the BIC has offered to assume responsibility for management of the BIC Library. Donna Shine has scheduled a meeting with him to work out the specifics.
The HDC Library schedule remains unchanged.
Railroad Records Project: New York Central records have all been indexed. The Erie RR record are being processed - four of 35 boxes have been completed. Additional material is being transferred from Ohio for inclusion in the library.
Events: We will not be participating in this year's Irish Festival
"Times": The first ten years of the "Times" have been provided to the Fulton History website and will be available in the fall. Articles and Queries for the "Times" are always welcome and may be submitted to Kevin O'Brien.

NEW BUSINESS:
- BIGS is in need of a program director to plan and arrange our training activities. Volunteers please contact Diane Blaser. - Handling digitized images: Most of us store images (photos, documents, charts) in .jpeg format. Ed Patton pointed out that each time a .jpeg file is opened some pixels are lost, causing the image to deteriorate over time. He recommends converting all .jpeg files to .tiff format.
- Research Tip: Diane Blaser reminded members to periodically revisit past research. You may find something that was overlooked before.

MEETING ADJOURNED: 7:32 pm

NEXT MEETING: Saturday - 3 October, 10:30 am at HDC.
